STEVEN GRAY (63) WINS WILLIAMWOOD QUALIFIER

Hayston's Steven Gray shot a fine round of five-under-par 63 at Williamwood today to be the leading qualifier for the Williamwood Golf club 36-hole pro-am on Friday and Saturday,August 24 and 25.

Gray headed 27 qualifiers in call up to a limit mark of 70. But not all of the eight players with 70s got through. A card countback was necessary to eliminate of one them - and Brian Dunbar was the unlucky man.
