O'DONNELL HEADS SECOND GROUP OF QUALIFIERS
FOR GLENEAGLES SCOTTISH PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

Sean ODonnell (Balbirnie Park) headed a field of 94 and the second batch of qualifiers for next week's Gleneagles Scottish PGA championship when the second eliminator was held today, again at Crieff Golf Club.
Sean had a two-under-par 69, one shot better than Peter Mitchell (Aberdour) and Ian Taylor (Drumpellier).
The limit mark for qualifying was 74 but only three on that mark got through by a card countback. Eight who had 74s lost out. Alex Campbell (Farringdon), Scott Morrison (Glenbervie) and Richard Logue (Dumfries & Co) were the lucky ones.
