KEN SCHOFIELD AMBASSADOR FOR FOOTBALLERS' WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP (kick-off early 2008)

The PGAs of Europe is to endorse the inaugural World Golf Championship for Footballers™ Tournament, to be staged early in 2008 at a venue with a suitable climate, the full details of which are yet to be announced.
In order to ensure that the new event of wide international interest achieves maximum credibility in golfing terms, it will be administered by experienced PGAsE tournament staff.
Also, the organisers of the tournament comprising some of the world’s most famous footballers, which is certain to attract massive exposure on TV, radio and in the print media, have appointed Ken Schofield as its Golf Ambassador.
The PGAsE President will work alongside the famous Dutch football coach Guus Hiddink, who is the tournament's Ambassador from the world of football.
Scot Ken Schofield (pictured above) who, since his retirement from his post as Executive Director of the European Tour, has compiled a report into the administration of English cricket,
said "I am truly excited to be involved in such an innovative and global golf event.
“ I am convinced this new tournament will help attract countless more people to the game of golf and I'm looking forward to contributing to the event’s success”.
