RAMSAY GOING TO RUSSIA NOT PRESTWICK

Richie Ramsay has confirmed that he is accepting an invitation to play as an amateur in next week's European Tour event, the Russian Open, at Le Meridien Moscow Country Club.

He has withdrawn from the Allied Surveyors Scottish amateur championship at Prestwick Golf Club. The Royal Aberdeen member, who has played in more pro events, mostly in America, than amateur tournaments this season, was one of the eight seeded players for the national amateur championship
