SAM TORRANCE MISSES CUT
BY ONE IN USA SENIOR PGA
CHAMPIONSHIP

Sam Torrance, Gordon Brand, Bill Longmuir, D J Russell and Tony Jacklin all missed the 36-hole cut in the US Senior PGA championship over the Ocean course at Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Sam scored 76 and 77 for 153 - just one shot too many to qualify.
Eduardo Romero from the Argentine leads the field by two strokes with a six-under-par tally of 138.
Joe Ozaki (Japan) is next of 140 with seniors-debutant Nick Price third on 141.
Mark James is the only British player in with any sort of chance and he is seven shots off the pace on 145.
