CALLANDER MAN CLEAR WINNER
OF SENIORS' ORDER OF MERIT
After a close call in last year's Scottish Seniors Golf Society Order of Merit, George Barrie (Callander), pictured below, was a clear winner this year with five excellent counting events.
With a fourth place finish at Prestwick St Cuthbert, Philip Hendry (Alloa) jumped into second place above Neil McGarva (Kilmalcolm) and Colin Halcrow (Windyhill).
Colin Mavor (Elgin) finished fifth, only 2.75pts behind.
This was the 6th year of the SSGS winter events and the most successful with a 15% increase in entries
