Dunfermline student  Hamish Gorn in top

Hamish Gorn from Dunfermline, a second-year student at Missouri Valley University, is in 17th position after the first round of the Central Baptist College Invite tournament at the Country Club of Arkansas.
Hamish had a opening day round of 78 over a par-70 course of 6,458yd.
He is eight strokes behind the leader, Austin Harmon (Central Baptist College) who has a one-shot advantage over Kaz Sakai (Missouri Valley).
Two more Missouri Valley students, Rob Cull and Max Rogers are on the 79 mark.
Cull, a freshman,  is Liverpool born but Edinburgh is now his home while Rogers, a sophomore, comes from Congleton, Cheshire.
Missouri Valley (300) leads the field of seven teams but only by one stroke from Central Baptist College. Missouri Valley "B" team are in third place on 307.
