McDonald, Savage lead Scots in Morocco

Jack McDonald from Troon and Cawder's Jamie Stewart Savage were the leading Scots in a share of 33rd place in a field of 74 players  at the end of the opening round of the MENA Touor's Royal Golf Mohammedia Open at Royal Golf D'Anfa, Morocco today.
They both shot one-over-par 72s to be six shots behind the leader by two, England's Lee Corfield), with a five-under 66.
Aberdeen-born Clarke Lutton had a 73 for a joint 43rd overnight position.
Dunbar's Danny Kay was T55 with a 65 while Glasgow's Jack Doherty and Dubai-based Daniel Hendry, playing in only his second pro event, shared 87th place on the six-over 77 mark.
