Brian Malcolm wins Kirkcudbrightshire Senior Championship on a countback
Photograph shows the winners being presented with their trophies by the county president, Mrs Jean Forrest

Hot sunny weather greeted the players for the 2016 Kirkcudbrightshire Senior Championship played over the Dalbeattie course.
Over 30 seniors played in the Championship, a figure well up on the previous year.
Dalbeattie players showed that home advantage does pay off.  It was close at the top of the leaderboard but Brian Malcolm (Dalbeattie) won the Stableford Scratch Trophy on a countback from Jock Halliday after both scored 27 pts.
In the 50-59 age group, John Niven won the quaich with a score of 30 pts.
The 60-69 age group was won with a superb 40 pts by Larry Mouat and the over-70s age group was won by Jock Halliday with 39 pts. (Jock was celebrating his 80th birthday the following day!)
