TWO SCOTS IN ACTION FOR EUROPE
IN MICHAEL BONALLACK TROPHY
The inclusion of Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan) and Comrie's Wallace Booth in the home line-up gives Scotland a double interest in the biennial Europe v Asia-Pacific men's amateur international golf match for the Michael Bonallack Trophy.
The three-day fixture tees off at Valderrama on Spain's Costa del Sol on Friday.
The format is four-balls in the morning and foursomes in the afternoon on Friday and Saturday with the Ryder Cup style climax of all 12 players taking part in the usually decisive singles programme on Sunday.
The match was started 10 years ago. Europe won in 1998, 2000 and 2006 after Asia-Pacific broke the pattern by winning in 2002 in 2004.
