GRANT CARNIE SECOND IN NORTH
CAROLINA TOURNAMENT
Aberdeenshire exile Grant Carnie, a second-year student at Brevard College, North Carolina finished second with scores of 70 and 73 for a one-under-par total of 143 in the Montreat Fall Invitational college golf tournament at Crooked Creek Golf Club, Hendersonville in North Carolina this week.
Carnie, pictured right, from Ellon and a member at Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club, finished two shots behind the winner.
Team-mate Myles Johnston from West Lothian came sixth with 76 and 73 for 149.
Brevard College tied with North Greenville University for first place in the team event with a total of 594.
