FORTROSE AND ROSEMARKIE CRASH OUT OF
NORTHERN COUNTIES CUP ON FIRST DAY

Defending champions Fortrose & Rosemarkie were soundly thrashed by 17 holes at the hands of Royal Dornoch in this year’s Northern Counties Cup tournament which began at Nairn Golf Club today.
And to complete a black day for the Black Isle club, their second string, lost by six holes to Duff House Royal 1.
Inverness 1 and Nairn 1, rated the pre-tournament joint favourites, both cleared their hurdles and will figure in Friday’s third-round ties
