PETERHEAD PLAYER 16 SHOTS OFF THE
PACE IN HILVERSUM
Scotland youth cap Philip McLean from Peterhead had a third-round, two-under-par 70 for a three-round total of 222 in the Hilversum Open at Hilversum Golf Club in the Netherlands.
Philip's earlier rounds were 75 and 77. He goes into Sunday's final round in joint 36th place, 16 shots behind the joint leaders on 10-under 206, Floris De Vries and Robin Swane.
Former Northern Open champion Peter Smith, the club pro at Hilversum, has scored 75, 71 and 73 for 219.
Robert McKnight (Kilmarnock Barassie) missed the halfway cut with 77 and 78 for 155.
