BEGORRAH! FIRST HARRINGTON, THEN PIERSE FOR IRISH GLORY DOUBLE

Arthur Pierse, 56, from Tipperary, the first Irishman to win the British senior men's open amateur championship. He beat Canadian Graham Cooke, 60, from Hudson, Quebec at the third hole of a sudden-death play-off after they had tied on five-under-par 211 at Nairn on Friday evening.
