SCOTS BOYS BEATEN BY ITALY IN DENMARK

Scotland and Norway, last year's finalists in the European boys' team championship, were both beaten in the quarter-finals of this year's championship at Rold Skov Golf Club, Denmark.
The Scots were beaten 5-2 by Italy while the Norwegians were upset 4-3 by the Netherlands.
Italy and Scotland shared the foursomes with Paul Shields and Michael Stewart winning by 2 and 1 after James Byrne and Neil Henderson had gone down by a similar margin.
In the five singles, Byrne was Scotland's only winner, by 3 and 1. Three of the ties went to the 18th green.
