ROSS CAMERON TOP QUALIFIER AT WEST KILBRIDE
Ross Cameron (McDonald Ellon) had his best competitive round of the season so far - a six-under-par 65 to head the 28 qualifiers at West Kilbride Golf Club today for the Volvo/Ayrshire Hospice 36-hole pro-am on August 13 and 14.
Cameron who earned £100 for his round had birdies at the first, third, seventh, 12th, 13th, 16th and 18th in halves of 34 and 31. His only bogey came at the ninth.
The maximum qualifying score was 72 with only four from the 10 on this mark qualifying after a card play-off.
