ENTRY DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR N.E.
DISTRICT OPEN AT NEWMACHAR
The deadline for entries to the North-east District Open men’s amateur golf tournament has officially been extended from July 13 to Friday, July 27.
Two factors have caused confusion among would-be entrants for the 72-hole SGU Order of Merit event to be played at Newmachar Golf Club, near Aberdeen on Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19.
The first is that the NE District website carried the wrong deadline date (July 13) although the entry forms do have it as July 27.
The second is that George Young has recently replaced George McIntosh as NE District secretary.
Entries should be sent to Mr Young at 24 Shore Street, Cairnbulg, Fraserburgh AB43 8YL alongwith the entry fee of £25.
Those who have already submitted an entry should confirm with the new secretary that their entry is in his hands, either by phoning him at 01346 582324 (home) or 07782 858697 (mobile) or by E-mail to georgemyoung24@aol.com
