YOUNG SCOTS NAMED IN SQUADS FOR
EUROPEAN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS


Seven of the eight teenage players who helped Scotland win the girls’ home international title last summer for the first time since 1998 have been named by the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association selection committee in two squads for European team championships at the beginning of July.
They include the quartet to represent Scotland, under the captaincy of Jennifer Jenkins (Ralston), in the European girls’ team championship at Oslo Golf Club, Norway from July 10 to 14 is:
Carly Booth (Comrie), Krystle Caithness (St Regulus), Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) and Sally Watson (Elie & Earlsferry Ladies).
And Rachael Livingstone, Roseanne Niven and Michele Thomson figure in the Scotland line-up, under the captaincy of Lesley Johnston, for the European women’s team championship at Castelcontrubia Golf Club, Italy, also from July 10 to 14. The full team is:
Rachael Livingstone (Musselburgh Old), Heather MacRae (Dunblane New), Emily Ogilvy (Auchterarder), Roseanne Niven (Crieff), Michele Thomson (McDonald Ellon), Jenna Wilson (Strathaven).
