NICHOLAS PIPS SCOTT FOR NORTH-EAST YOUTHS
TITLE AT INVERALLOCHY

Cullen's Nicholas McAndrew pipped Scott Fraser (Royal Aberdeen) for the North-east District youths' golf championship over 36 holes at Inverallochy Golf Club on Sunday.
McAndrew led the field by one shot from Fraser with an opening round of 70. They both shot 69 on the second circuit, the Cullen lad winning with an aggregate of 139 to 140.
Wilson Stephen of the host club was a creditable third on 141 with rounds of 73 and 68.
Matthew Smith (Royal Aberdeen), who had scores of 71 and 76 for 147 and joint 10th place, had a hole in one at the 156yd 14th hole with a wedge.
