PABLO TURNS PRO WITH I M G
Former British boys' open champion Pablo Martin has announced that he has both turned professional and selected IMG, the world’s premier sports, entertainment and media company, for global management and marketing representation.
Martin, a 21-year old from Malaga, Spain, will make his professional debut at this week’s Stanford St. Jude Championship on the US PGA Tour, following a highly distinguished amateur career and collegiate campaign at Oklahoma State University.
In April 2007, Martin became the first amateur to win on the European Tour when he claimed the Estoril Open de Portugal. The historic victory earned Martin an exemption on the European Tour that will commence when he establishes membership on Tour and will last through the 2009 season. Martin intends to compete both on the European Tour and the US PGA Tour, via sponsor exemptions, for the remainder of 2007.
