STEADY JACK IS TOP SCOT IN JOINT SIXTH
PLACE ON PGA EUROPRO CHAMPIONSHIP

South Wales-based Glaswegian Jack Doherty was the highest placed Scot after the third and final round of the Stoke by Nayland PGA EuroPro Tour championship at the Essex venue today.
Jack had rounds of 71, 71 and 72 for two-under-par 214, which earned him joint sixth place and a cheque for £1,100.
He finished three shots behind the £10,000 prize winner, Irishman Michael McDermott, with 72, 67 and 72 for five-under-par 211.
Callum Nicoll from Prestwick subsided with a final round of 77 to a share of 26th place on 219 for which he earned £308.
Lee Harper got £245 for joint 40th place on 221.
Graham Gordon from Aberdeen and Christopher Campbell from the far north (Carnegie Skibo to be precise) kept each other company "down among the dead men." Both signed off with rounds of 80, Graham with a pair of double bogeys and Christophere with a triple bogey 7 at the fourth and a double bogey 7 at the fifth in an outward 41.
They finished joint 52nd on 226 and their take-home pay was £185 each.
