SPENCER BUCHAN WINS BRANGAN CUP
IN PHOTO FINISH WITH KRIS NICOL

Spencer Buchan (Royal Aberdeen) pipped Kris Nicol (Fraserburgh) for the Brangan Cup in the tightest of tight finishes to the Duff House Royal club's 36-hole men's open tournament today.
Both players finished on 133, and both players had rounds of 66 and 67. It went to a card comparison of the second rounds and the tie-breaker was eventually Spencer Buchan's better inward half.
Gary Thomson (Moray) was third on 136 with 70 and 66.
R Ord (Oldmeldrum) had the lowest net total of the day - 132 (63-69) off four of a handicap
