BRYAN FOTHERINGHAM DROPS DOWN
TO 17th PLACE - EIGHT SHOTS BEHIND
LEADER IN WELSH STROKE-PLAY
Bryan Fotheringham from Forres, Scotland's leading hope in the Welsh men's open amateur stroke-play championship at Machynys Peninsula, dropped down to a share of 17th place at the halfway stage.
Bryan has had rounds of 69 and 73 for 142 - eight shots behind the leader, Jonathan White (Saunton) with 68 and 66.
Fotheringham was the only Scot to beat the cut at 146.
Overnight leader with a 67, John Parry (Harrogate) broke par in the second round again with a 70 but some players were shooting very low numbers and John has slipped down to fifth place on 137.
