Gordon Yates and Rachel Cassidy win R&A Bursar's Tournament


Stirling has a clean sweep of the Men's prizes with the top three places all going to Stirling university students in the R&A Annual Bursars tournament played over the Eden and Old Course, St Andrews.
Gordon Yates, the mens winner has gained a place in the European side for the Palmer Cup to be played at Caves Valley, Maryland on June 7 and 8.
Rachel Cassidy who won the women's event has won a place in the LET Scottish Open to be played in September at the Carrick, Loch Lomond and also in the Women's Open Pro Am at St Andrews preceeding the Women's Open on the Old Course at the beginning of August.
The mens winner, Gordon Yates (Stirling) is also just off to Peru to represent the R&A bursars in the International Team Event taking place there next week. his team mate will be Edward Parker (Birmingham University)
