PROVAN SALVER 2007

The first matches of the 2007 Provan Salver took place on Sunday. This is a quadrangular event played between the Areas in the former Midland District of Scotland. It composes three matches decided by eight singles.
The results are as follows ;-
At Blairgowrie, Clackmannan halved with Perth and Kinross at 4 matches apiece,
and at Arbroath, Fife beat Angus by 5.5 to 2.5

Ian Ross (Alloa) lost to George Stubbs (Blairgowrie) 1 hole
Darren Hulston (Dollar) lost to Mark Cameron (Alyth) 3 and 2
Ross Benvie (Braehead) beat Stephen Carruthers (Pitlochry) 1 hole
Craig O'Connor (Alloa) lost to Tom McLevy (Blairgowrie ) 2 and 1
Steven McIvor (Alva) halved with Philip Scott (Auchterarder)
Jamie Aitken (Alloa) beat Ross Leeds (Muckhart) 1 hole
Scott Moffat (Braehead halved with David Simpson (Crieff)
Mark Crichton (Tulliallan) beat Stuart McKendrick (Dunkeld and Birnam)

Match Result Clackmannan 4 Perth and Kinross 4
