HENDERSON FAILS TO
BEAT COLOMBIA
MASTERS CUT BY ONE


Aberdonian Scott Henderson crashed out of the Colombia Masters at the halfway stage after a disastrous finish to his second round in this the first 2007 event of the European Challenge Tour, at Bogota Country Club.

The King's Links tour pro, who matched the par of 71 in the first round, was going well enough in the second to be one over par after 11 holes, having birdied the eighth after bogeys at the second and fourth.
Then Henderson dropped a shot at the 12th before running up double bogey 6s at both the 15th and 17th.
Scott did birdie the 18th but an inward half of 40 for a four-over-par 76 left him on five-over-par 147 - one shot over the limit mark for qualifying for the last two rounds.

Rookie pro George Murray also failed to qualify on 147 after a 72. The former Scottish amateur champion from Fife have five birdies but also a disastrous run when he dropped five shots to par in the course of the 14th, 15th and 16th holes.
The low point was a triple bogey 6 at the short 15th.Fellow Fifer Peter Whiteford also missed the cut by miles with a 76 for 154.
