Maxwell, Paul O'Hara tie with 64s at

very wet Royal Troon Portland

FROM THE AYRSHIRE WGA WEBSITE
Steven Maxwell (Eastwood) and Paul O’Hara (North Lanarkshire Leisure) shared the spoils at a very wet Troon Portland with six-under-par 64s in this week's Ayrshire Winter Golf Association fixture.
Torrential rain throughout the day made conditions very difficult for all players on the shortened links course . Credit goes to both professional and amateurs who completed their rounds. The fairways showed extensive areas of water although the greens held up magnificently.
The amateur winner of the Kernel Rosebowl was Stewart Shawc(Kirkintilloch GC) whose net 66 gave him a four-shot win from John Leitch (Haggs Castle).
