Hutcheon's 68 leaves him eight off the

Algarve lead

Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre, Inchmarlo) is lying joint 15th in a field of 69 players after the first round of the Algarve Pro Tour event at Alamos golf course, Portimao.
Hutcheon shot a three-under-par 68 with birdies at the fifth, eighth, 10th and 12th, offset by  lone bogey at the ninth.
He is eight shots behind the leader, Frenchman Franck Daux who had a brilliant round of 11-under-par 60 for a two-stroke advantage over  Paul Kinnear (England).
