Duncan's 66 equals day's best at Casablanca as

he shares 12th place with Robb

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Kevin Duncan (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) equalled the best score of the day - a six-under-par 66 - and moved up alongside another North-east professional, Chris Robb, in joint 12th place after two rounds of the 54-hole Pro Golf Tour event, the Tony Jacklin Open at Tony Jacklin Casablanca Golf Club, Morocco today (Friday).

Duncan, pictured, had seven birdies in halves of 33 and one bogey, at the fifth. A triple bogey 7 at the 14th in the first round  has cost him a top-10 place so far.
Duncan and Robb are on six-under 138, the latter losing his shine of an opening 65 to return a lacklustre 73, in which he was four over par after only seven holes. Birdies at the eighth, ninth, 13th an 18th revived his fortunes but he is three shots behind the three players sharing the lead on 135 - Pedro Figueiredo (Portugal) (64-71), German amateur Marc Hammer (69-66) and professional compatriot Nicolai Von Dellingshausen (65-70).
Peterhead's Philip McLean (Paul Lawrie GC) had a 67  - his best tournament score for some time - and, with a two-round tally of 140 is occupying a share of 21st place.
Another Peterhead-based pro, Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) made the cut with nothing to spare on 141, made up of rounds of 68 ad 73.
The one Scot to miss the cut was young Sam Kiloh (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre), despite him being two under par. The Portlethen player had a double bogey 5 at the short sixth and bogeyed the 17th and 18th in a second-round 73 for 142, just one shot too many to qualify for the final round.
