BORROWMAN FINISHES TIED 4th IN BID


TO START PRO CAREER WITH TWO WINS

Scott Borrowman's bid to make a little page of Scottish pro golf history by winning his first two tournaments in the paid ranks failed gallantly in Egypt today, writes Colin Farquharson



Game kid finished fourth, tied fourth to be precise in.this week's PGA Mediterranean 54-hole tournament at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Palm Hills course near Cairo
 Leading after 36 holes, the Dollar man slumped to a seven-over-par 79 on his final round after earlier scores of 71 and 73.
His total of seven-over-par 223 was six shots behind the winner, Xavi Puig, the Spaniard Borrowman beat in a play-off last week. Puig had rounds of 68, 78 and 71 for one-ovber-217. He won by two shots from England's Stuart Archibald.
Ben Craggs finished joint ninth on 228. Fraser McKenna totalled 237 for an 18th place finish and Conor O'Neil came 19th on 239.
