Edinburgh and East of Scotland Alliance 
On another day when the weather tried its best to interrupt play 91 players of the East Alliance fought off the early morning frost and afternoon squalls to contest the Andrew Oldcorn Trophy at Kings Acre.
Winner of the trophy by two shots was David Brydon (Torwoodlee) with a net 70 (75 less 5), fighting off the challenge of previous event trophy winner Danny Airens (Falkirk Tryst) on net 72 (81 less 9). Third place, a shot further behind on net 73, was shared by Andrew McElhinney (Harburn) (82 less 9) and David Meldrum ( Harburn) (76 less 3).
Top scratch prize was closely fought and in the end was split three ways on the two-over-par 72 mark on a day of difficult weather conditions. The three players were Anthony Blaney (Liberton), Zander Culverwell (Dunbar) and Jamie Fraser (Renaissance Club).
Top Trainee Prize on 75 was Louis Gaughan (Bathgate).
Top Senior Prize on net 76 went three ways to David Jeffrey (Longniddry) (85 less 9), Ian Taylor (Eyemouth) (79 less 3) and David Watson (Peebles) (89 less 13).

3. Ryan Buckley (Royal Musselburgh) - 544.0

Next week the East Alliance head to Falkirk Tryst for the last outing of the season before the annual 36 hole Championship at Gullane on March 25.
