CRAIG ROSS IN S AFRICAN THIRD-PLACE PLAY-OFF
Craig Ross (Kirkhill) will meet David Meyers in a third-place play-off at the South African Northern Open amateur match-play championship at Randpark Golf Club on Friday morning.
Ross was beaten 3 and 2 by another South African, Teaghan Gauche in the semi-finals, having beaten Shane Martin 8 and 7.
Scott Gibson (Southerness) lost by 5 and 4 to Meyers in the quarter-finals so Ross has a chance to avenge his SGU team-mate's defeat.
The final is between two South Africans, Gauche and Ryan Dreyer.
