BENNY IS ON HAMISH'S TAIL IN NE ALLIANCE CLASS

But second-placed Benny Lumsden (Northern), who plays off nine, has made up a bit of ground and is now "only" 300pt behind the long-time leader
No change in the top five positions from last week.

The big climber in the top 20 was Kemnay's Steven Dillon who had a net 60 off 16 at Murcar Links and has risen six places in the table to the No 8 spot.
Steven had a net 60 off his 16 handicap on Wednesday.
The Orders of Merit will end at the conclusion of the Alliance two-round championship, that's at Craibstone, in March. The extra meeting, at Newburgh, which rings down the NE Alliance curtain on the 2014-15 season is a non-counter as far as Merit points are concerned.
Order of Merit points in Class 1 and 2 are awarded as follows at each fixture:
