ANGLO LUMSDEN IS LONE SCOT IN FINAL ROUND

OF FOG-HIT PORTUGUESE CHAMPIONSHIP

Anglo Ryan Lumsden (Royal Wimbledon) in joint 14th place on 141 (68-73) was the only Scot to survive the 36-hole cut which reduced the Portuguese men's international amateur golf championship to the leading 40 and ties for what will now be the final round at Montado Hotel and Golf Resort.

The cut mark was 144. Scots who missed out were Alex Culverwell (Dunbar) on 150 (74-76), Fraser Moore (Glenbervie) on 151 (74-77) and Royal Aberdeen's Nick Macandrew who totalled 154 (77-77).
England's Ashley Chesters, who was not in action today (Friday), was joined in the lead at 136 by Zan Luka Strin (Slovenia) who completed his second round, begun on Thursday, in 69 shots.
