ANGLO LUMSDEN IN TOP TEN AT HALFWAY

IN FOG-HIT PORTUGUESE AMATEUR

Anglo-Scot Ryan Lumsden (Royal Wimbledon) is sharing ninth place at the halfway stage of the 85th Portuguese men's international amateur championship at Montado Hotel and Golf Resort.
Lumsden has had rounds of 68 and 73 for three-under-par 141 and is five shots behind the new leader, double European champion, England's Ashley Chester (70-66 for eight-under 136).
Fog delayed play for two hours and Scots Alexander Culverwell (Dunbar) and Nick Macandrew (Royal Aberdeen) were among the 42 players who were unable to finish their second rounds.
They will go out early on Friday to complete their 36-hole totals which will decide the cut mark for qualifiers to the final two rounds.
Fraser Moore (Glenbervie) is tied 64th on 151 after rounds of 74 and 77.
