TRIPLE BOGEY 8 SCUPPERS WALLACE

BOOTH'S WINNING CHANCE IN SPAIN

Wallace Booth was in a potential winning position after birdies at the fourth, seventh and eighth in the final round of the 36-hole El Valle Open at El Valle Golf Club, Murcia in South-east Spain today (Friday).
But it was pride before a big fall for the Comrie man. He ran up a triple bogey 8 at the 16th and a bogey at the 18th - four shots dropped over the last three holes.
He finished with a 72 for 143 and a share of sixth place, five strokes behind the three players who tied for first place on 138 - Florian Fritsch (Germany), Sam Young (England) and Liam Murray (Spain).
