MONTY SET FOR LAST-PLACE FINISH
IN US SENIORS' TOUR EVENT
Colin Montgomerie was sharing last place - tied 47th - as American Michael Allen headed for victory in the US Champions Tour's AT and T Championship at San Antonio, Texas.
The Scot had rounds of 68, 76 and 72 for a level par total of 216.
Monty has achieved so much success in a comparatively short time but that second-round 76, where he finished with a double bogey, was his worst single round since he joined the over-50s circuit in the States.
Allen, who had earlier rounds of 70 and 65 for nine-under 135, continued to pick up birdies in his final round and had a commanding lead with only a few holes to play.
