DUNBAR MAN RUES TRIPLE BOGEY 7 AT 16TH

FENWICK IN WITH A CHANCE OF

£10,000 JACKPOT PRIZE AT CARRICK

Dunbar's Neil Fenwick is hot on the trail of a £10,000 jackpot prize in the PGA EuroPro Tour's Motocaddy Masters 54-hole tournament at The Carrick on Loch Lomond.
Feniwck in on three-under 139 (71-68_ with only two men ahead of him - Englishman Neil Chaudhuri (136) and Irishman Mark Murphy (137).
But if the Scot had not run up a triple bogey 7 at the 17th, having just eagled the 15th, he would have been much better placed to go home with a five-figure cheque.
Greg McBain (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) is lying joint 14th on 145 (70-75) and Sam Binning (Ranfurly Castle) just makes the top 10 on 146 (75-71).
The cut at 150 left the majority of the Scots on the sidelines.
but Lloyd Saltman made it by improving some 10 shots with a second-round 69 for 148.
