BEARSDEN PLAYER WINS MATCH-PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

SINCLAIR FOILS EDGAR BID FOR WEST BOYS' 
 TITLE DOUBLE

Aran Sinclair (Bearsden) beat Colin Edgar (Cochrane Castle) by one hole in this afternoon's final of the West of Scotland boys' match-play golf championship at Kilbirnie Place Golf Club.
Edgar had been bidding to complete a double, having won the West of Scotland boys' stroke-play title at the same venue earlier in the week.

QUARTER-FINALS
C Edgar (Cochrane Castle) bt J Sweeney (Ayr Belleisle) 7 and 5.
J Sinnamon (Greenock Whinhlll) bt Fraser Kane (Kirkhill) 3 and 1.
C Toal (Old Ranfurly) bt J Thomas (Irvine) at 19th
A Sinclair (Bearsden) bt C Taggart (Eastwood) at 19th.
SEMI-FINALS
Edgar bt Sinnamon 2 holes.
Sinclair bt Toal 3 and 1.
FINAL
Sinclair bt Edgar 2 and 1.
