AMALGAMATION OF BON ACCORD, CALEY AND NORTHERN BACK ON?
DEVELOPER MAKES MULTI-MILLION
BID FOR ABERDEEN LINKS' BUILDINGS
FROM COLIN FARQUHARSON
Colin@scottishgolfview.com
A usually reliable source tells me that there is a
bid of just less than £3 million in from a housing developer for the adjacent buildings currently occupied by the clubhouses of the three Aberdeen Links golf clubs - Bon Accord, Caledonian and Northern.
He tells me that it looks like the amalgamation of the thre clubs might be back on
again.
Just short of £3 million would be enough to build a new clubhouse which would be the home for the three integrated clubs on the site of the Broadhill Bar - "the eyesore owned by the Aberdeen City Council" (another one!) - next to the Kings Links Driving Range.
Watch this space for news of further developments.
