Duncan, Hutton and Catlin

lead qualifiers at W Kilbride

Three players - Steven Duncan (Balbirnie Park), Kenneth Hutton (Downfield) and Scott Catlin (Greenburn) headed the 24 qualifiers for the Volvo Ayrshire Hospice Order of Merit 36-hole pro-am on August 11 and 12 at today's West Kilbride eliminating contest which had a field of close on 100.

Duncan, Hutton, pictured right, and Catlin tied with four-under-par 67s, one ahead of Edward Thomson (Senit Associates), Kenny Walker (Castle Park), his best show since his annual summer return from Thailand, and Paul Wytrazek.

The competition produced the required number of 23 qualifiers with scores of 73 or better.
