ROSS CAMERON TOP QUALIFIER
AT DEER PARK

North-east professional Ross Cameron (McDonald Ellon) headed a field of more than 100 to lead the 24 qualifiers for the Kronenburg Deer Park Masters at Deer Park Golf & Country Club on August 5 and 6 at today's eliminating contest at the same venue.
Cameron shot a five-under-par 67 to have two shots to spare at the end of the day from Craig Matheson (Falkirk Tryst).
The limit mark was 73 although three players with 73 were eliminated in a card play-off. Andrew Dunsmore (Deer Karik), Alastair MacKenzie (Duddingston) and Steven Duncan (Balbirnie Park) were the odd ones out.
