The firstpointusa.com Scottish Under-16 boys' open stroke-play championship looks to be leaving the country at the end of tomorrow's third and final round at the Glen Golf Club, North Berwick.
After 36 holes, it is England's Mikhail Ishaq from the Bonday club, Worksop leading the way on five-under-par 135. He added a par-matching 70 today to his excellent opening round of 65.
He is three shots ahead of another player from south of the Border, Ben Taylor (Walton Heath) who has scored 67 and 71 so far.
And in third place on 139 is Austria's Matthias Kaufmann with 69 and 70 to his credit.
The leading Scot is Shaun Connor from Ralston, tied for fourth place, some seven shots behind the leader, on 142 after rounds of 72 and 70.
Shaun had five birdies in his round - at the third, sixth, 10th, 13th and 15th. But he also had a double-bogey 6 at the 14th and dropped single shots at the first, fou
rth and fifth in halves of 36 (one over par) and 34 (two under).,
Paul McPhee (King James) dropped back from a challenging 68 to a 75 for 143.
Paul had a double bogey 6 at the second and a triple bogey 7 at the 12th after three bogeys between the sixth and the ninth for four-over 39 out.
Highlight of his card was an eagle 3 at the 15th.
A total of 43 players made the cut with 36-hole totals of 10-over-par 150 or better.
