MACAULAY BREAKS LANARK RECORD WITH
63 TO LEAD BY SEVEN AFTER ROUND 3

Tulliallan's Callum Macaulay put a lock on the 2007 Newlands Trophy and SGU Order of Merit title with a seven-under-par course record round of 63 in the third round of the Lanark Golf Club 72-hole event today.
Callum's earlier rounds were 68 and 70, giving him a 54-hole tally of nine-under-par 201.
He leads by SEVEN strokes from Scottish youths champion Scott Borrowman (Dollar) who had a 68 and by eight from the third-placed Wallace Booth (Comrie) who had a 69 for 209.
Wallace was SGU Order of Merit leader Macaulay's only serious rival going into the tournament.
Macaulay jumped into the No 1 position last week when he beat Glenn Campbell (Blairgowrie) in a play-off for the South-east District title.
