GRANT CARNIE IS TOP SCOT IN
KIAWAH ISLAND INVITATIONAL
TOURNAMENT

Grant Carnie from Ellon, Aberdeenshire finished the highest-placed Scot in a competitive field for the Kiawah Island Invitational college golf tournament at Cougar Point Golf Club, South Carolina.
Carnie, pictured right, a student at Brevard College near the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina, tied for 49th place with rounds of 79 and 77 for 156.
Glasgow's Neil McBride (Clayton State University, Atlanta) was joint 52nd place with 77 and 80 for 157.
Myles Johnston (Brevard College) from Bo'ness and Daniel Sommerville (Clayton State University) from St Andrews tied for 57th place on 158. Myles scored 74 and 84, Daniel 75 and 83.
Craig Galloway (Brevard College) from West Lothian finished 77th on 171 with 84 and 87.
Chris Wolfe (Armstrong Athletic State University) won the individual event by four shots with 65 and 68 for 133.
Oklahoma Christian (576) won the team event from Armstrong Atlantic State (579) with Clayton State (610) 11th and Brevard (647) 16th.
