GREIG HUTCHEON TOPS THE £30,000 MARK
WITH VICTORY IN CARNEGIE INVITATIONAL
Peterculter's Greig Hutcheon boosted his earnings for the season on the Tartan Tour to a personal high of over £30,000 by winning the Carnegie Invitational 36-hole pro-am at Skibo Castle today.
Hutcheon had rounds of 66 and 69 for a seven-under-par total of 135 which won him the £5,500 top prize by three shots from Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle) and Chris Kelly (Cawder).
Hutcheon was already a clear leader of the PGA Scottish Region money table with £25,000+ going into this lucrative two-rounder.
Host club professional David Thomson does not play regularly on the Tartan Tour these days. Perhaps he should. He matched Greig Hutcheon's opening round of 66 in today's second round and earned £1,900 for joint sixth place on 141.
