NOT A HAPPY DAY FOR SCOTS AS NIKKI
GARRETT WINS TENERIFE LADIES OPEN
Australian Nikki Garrett won the Tenerife Ladies Open by two shots from England’s Trish Johnson and Spain’s Tania Elosegui.
Nikki had a final round of 72 for 287 – two ahead of the joint runners-up.
The three Scots in the field did not have a happy final day.
Kathryn Imrie closed with a 77 for 299 after running up a double bogey 6 at the 15th.
Clare Queen finished on 297 with a 78. She bogeyed five of her last six holes.
Lynn Kenny finished at the bottom of the heap on 311 with a nightmare round of 84 which include a quadruple bogey 8 at the first and a triple bogey 8 at the long fifth. She had started at the 10th and was out in 40.
