CHAMPION DEANO SCORES FIRST WIN
OF TARTAN TOUR SEASON


Last year’s Scottish PGA champion Dean Robertson (Czech Design) scored his first win of the new Tartan Tour season with a four-under-par round of 67 in the Belhaven Best shotgun pro-am at Cardross Golf Club today.
Robertson picked up the £706 top prize with birdies at the second, third, fourth, sixth, ninth and 18th in halves of 32 (three under par) and 35 (one under). He had back to back bogeys at the seventh and eighth.
Mark King (Kingsfield) was runner-up on 68 with Alan Purdie (Kingsbarns) third on 69.
Stevie Gray (Hayston) led the Iris Mortgates amateur trio of Richard Nimmo (handicap 9), Thomas Cullen (11) and Stephen Hearns (13) to victory in the team event with a net score of 59.
