Roddy Carr says: "It was the level of quality and attention to detail of the construction and the vision of excellence for the overall product at Killeen Castle that persuaded me to accept the task of marketing and promoting Killeen Castle.
"I have not come across this degree of commitment in pursuit of excellence in my 20 years working abroad in the business. It will be great for me and my wife Patty and young children to return to Ireland after so many years living abroad."
Championship course architect Jack Nicklaus says of his signature design ,which is scheduled to open for play in April, 2008: "I am proud to be part of what is happening at Killeen Castle. It is phenomenal, with the historic castle as a focal point and dramatic backdrop to the 18th hole. Killeen Castle is a wonderful facility to stage The Solheim Cup in 2011 or the Ryder Cup in the future."
The Killeen Castle Estate is situated in a 560 acres wooded development beside Dunsany and the village of Dunshaughlin in County Meath.
An agreement has been signed with Starwood Hotels and Resorts to manage the Luxury Collection hotel, which will be incorporated into the existing historical castle. It dates to 1181 when built by the de Lacy family.
