Last night's opening results in the City of Aberdeen inter-club foursomes tournament for the Maitland Shield, being played for the first time at East Aberdeenshire Golf Centre, were:
Nigg Bay beat Westhill by six holes.
L Vitesse & I Welsh 4, S Green & A Hay 0.
G Grimmer & N Slater 2, C Munro, F Clarke 0.
Bon Accord beat Caledonian by five holes.
A Styles & A Doig 0, M Greig, G Somers 0.
B Edmond & D Grieve 5, S Finnie & D Mullen 0.
Deeside beat Craibstone by six holes.
A Campbell & D Kerr 3, A Ross & N Henderson 0.
A B Hutchison & T D Rennie 3, G Rennie & B Hardie 0.
